Kathmandu. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, monsoon wind is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Madhes and Bagmati provinces, some places of Gandaki province and at some places of Lumbini province in eastern Tarai province at present.

In other parts of the country, there will be some influence of the Westerly and local winds. The weather is generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas of Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces at present. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of Koshi Province and at one or two places of Bagmati Province.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous region of the country while it will be generally cloudy in the hilly region of Koshi Province and in the Tarai region of Madhes Province towards the afternoon. The weather will be mainly clear in the Tarai region of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the Tarai region of Koshi Province and at one or two places of the Madhes Province.

Similarly, heat wave is likely to occur at some places of the Tarai region of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Province while temperature will rise at some places of the Tarai region of Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be generally cloudy in hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and partly cloudy in the hilly region of Koshi Province and partly cloudy in hilly region of Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim province tonight. The weather will be mainly clear in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Light rain or thunder likely to occur at some places of the hilly region of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province and at one or two places of the mountainous region of Bagmati Province and at one or two places of hilly region of Bagmati Province. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there are chances of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places of the Tarai region of Koshi Province and at one or two places of the Tarai region of Madhes Province.

The Division has urged the general public in the area with the forecast of lightning, heat wave and temperature rise to take precaution to take precaution. The Division has also requested the people to stay updated on the weather information.
