Kathmandu. Presently, the influence of monsoon wind is taking place in Koshi, Madhes and Bagmati provinces, at some places of Gandaki province and at some places of Lumbini province.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be some influence of the Westerly and local wind in the rest of the country. Monsoon is likely to expand to the remaining parts of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and to the rest of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces in the next four to five days.

At present, the weather is generally cloudy in the hilly region and partly cloudy in the Tarai region. Light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is taking place at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly regions of the country as well as in the Tarai region of Madhes and Koshi Province towards the afternoon. Likewise, moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at one or two places of Tarai Province, Koshi Province and Madhes Province and at one or two places of Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted that the heatwave is likely to occur at some places of Lumbini and the Tarai region of the Sudurpaschim province, urging the people to adopt precaution.

Similarly, tonight, it will be generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces while it will be partly cloudy in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Likewise, moderate rain along with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible at some places of Tarai Province and at a few places of Tarai Province of Koshi, Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province and at one or two places of Tarai Province of Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province.

The Division has also urged one or two places of the hilly and Tarai region of Koshi Province to remain alert for possible risks of heavy rainfall.
