Kathmandu. KIST Teaching Hospital Kathmandu has decided to provide special discount to the service recipients associated with Social Security Fund (SSF) and Employees Provident Fund (PF).

As per the provisions of the Social Security Fund, the fund will bear 80 per cent of the expenses incurred for the treatment of the patients who have been admitted to the OPD and admitted patients under the Social Security Fund while the service seekers should pay only 20 per cent.

Similarly, under the Health Plan Program of Employees Provident Fund, the hospital can cover up to Rs 100 lakh annually for minor ailments and Rs 10 lakhs in case of critical diseases during the service period.

According to the hospital’s Chairman, Abhishek Thapa, the discount will be available for various speciality services including internal medicine, surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, heart disease, kidney disease, eye disease, among others.

According to the hospital, the service recipients can easily avail special discount by contacting the concerned help desk of the hospital along with the identity card provided by the fund.
