Mother and son killed in elephant attack

Chitwan. A mother and son were killed in an elephant attack at Bharatpur Metropolitan City-23, Belhatta on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as Ashika Bote, 25, and her four-year-old son Bharat, according to Chandra Bhusan Yadav, information officer at the District Police Office.TAG_OPEN_div_6

When Ashika’s husband Purna lit a fire to chase away the elephants, the fire broke out in her mud house.TAG_OPEN_div_4 The fire was extinguished with the help of police and locals.
