No business

Kanchanpur. Kanchanpur: The Kanchanpur Municipality has decided not to allow the operation of mobile business without permission.

Strict action will be taken as per the prevailing law if anyone is found carrying out business using transport and vehicles without prior approval within the jurisdiction of the municipality.

Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality, Khem Raj Bista, said that the municipality has been banned after receiving complaints that vehicles including motorcycles, carts, rickshaws and mini trucks were operating without prior permission.

Currently, most of the people involved in mobile business in the market and rural areas without taking permission from the municipality are Indian nationals. Bista clarified that action would be initiated as per the prevailing laws if anyone found doing business without prior approval.

Similarly, the municipality has taken special action to make the road area safe and risk-free. The act of tying cattle and piling sand, pebbles, stones, wood, bricks, soil and other construction materials on local roads, roadsides and other public places is discouraged.

It has been urged not to do such activities as piling construction materials on the road without prior approval of the municipality and digging the road causing damage would hinder the movement of people and vehicles and increase the risk of accidents.

Chief Administrative Officer Bista said, “Action would be taken as per the Road Standards Procedure 2076 BS of the municipality if anyone is found causing damage or obstruction.”

The municipality has been continuously monitoring and sensitizing the public by mobilizing the city police to remove encroachment on the roads, stop unauthorized trade and make the general public aware.
