. At present, there is the influence of monsoon wind throughout the country. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the monsoon trough is at average place at present.

The weather is generally TAG_OPEN_div_14 cloudy in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

There are chances of heavy rain at one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces.TAG_OPEN_div_10 According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is the possibility of moderate ÷rain÷snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places of the mountainous region tonight. Possibility remains for brief rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at some ÷places of the hilly region and at a few places of the Tarai region. There are chances of heavy rain in one or two places of the hilly and terai regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

The Division has urged the people to stay updated on the latest information of the Department to be aware of the risk of mudslide, flood, landslide and soil erosion as well as to affect daily life in these areas as well as agriculture, TAG_OPEN_div_8 health, tourism, mountaineering, road and air transport.
