Karnali. Karnali Province Chief Minister Mangal Bahadur Shahi has taken oath of office and secrecy today.

Chief Minister Shahi administered the oath of office and secrecy to Province Chief Yagya Raj Joshi amidst a function organized by the Karnali Province Chief’s Office, Surkhet at Birendranagar today. Chief Joshi administered the oath of office and secrecy to Chief Minister Shahi as per Article 172 of the Constitution of Nepal.

Karnali state Speaker Nanda Gurung, former chief ministers Yam Lal Kandel, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, Raj Kumar Sharma, Deputy Speaker Yashoda Neupane, Chief Judge of Surkhet High Court Hari Prasad Bhandari, Province Assembly members, chief secretary, province secretary and chiefs of security bodies were present on the occasion.

Shahi was appointed as the chief minister on Tuesday with the support of the CPN-UML. He assumed office today.
