. The Land Problems Resolution Committee has said action will be taken against those providing land to landless squatters and submitting false details and records in the management process of unsystematic squatters.

The Committee has stated that legal process will be initiated against the concerned person if it is found not providing the real details of the person with the intention of acquiring the land by issuing the notice, submitting false details or fake records, or acquiring or attempting to acquire the land and structures on the basis of such details.

The committee has made it clear that even those recommending such details will be liable to legal action if the false details are proved. According to the notice issued by the committee, there is a provision of punishment for such offenses as per Section 52 (d) of the Land Related Act, 2021.
