NMB Bank’s net profit rises by 40.60 per cent

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: NMB Bank has published its unaudited financial statement for the fiscal year 2082/83.

During the period, the profit of the bank increased by 40.60 percent to Rs 4.01 billion. It was Rs 2.85 billion in the same period of the previous year.

During the review period, the bank’s net interest income increased by 17.52 percent to Rs 9.42 billion from Rs 8.02 billion.

The bank’s fee and commission income increased by 18.60 percent to Rs 2.59 billion. Similarly, operating profit increased by 29.06 percent to Rs 6.11 billion.

The dividend of the unissued reserve preference shares has been reduced to Rs 1.75 billion despite the distributable profit of Rs 1.87 billion. It had decreased by 7.91 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. The bank’s ability to pay dividend to shareholders is Rs 9.08.

The bank has paid-up capital of Rs 22.28 billion and reserve fund of Rs 15.77 billion. The bank collected deposit of Rs 315.11 billion and extended loan of Rs 249.75 billion.

The non-performing loan of the bank has increased from 4.11 percent to 4.91 percent. The bank has EPS of Rs 20.18 and net worth per share of Rs 181.15.
