Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Lawmakers of the ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) representing the Far-Western State in the House of Representatives have expressed their commitment to raise voice in the parliament about the good works carried out by the government.

During a meeting with Prime Minister Balendra Shah at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today, they lauded the government for its remarkable works in the field of good governance. During the meeting, the lawmakers also put forth the issues of their constituencies before the Prime Minister.

Khemraj Koirala, a lawmaker from Kailali-4, accepted the Prime Minister’s views easily. “I talked about the operation of Geta University. Apart from this, I have also put forth the issue of resolving the problem of stray cattle in the Tarai region of Kailali and Kanchanpur,” he said, adding, “We have also raised the issues of Dhangadhi-Khutiya-Dipayal fast track and electrification. ”

On the occasion, Kailali-2 lawmaker KP Khanal said that the Prime Minister was positive towards resolving the problems faced by the Prime Minister regarding the management of stray cattle from Chisapani of Kailali to Mahendranagar, reduction of road accidents, construction of embankment, management of a 300-bed hospital at Geta University and the party’s activities.

Hari Mohan Bhandari, a lawmaker from Baitadi, apprised the PM about the Pancheshwar Multipurpose Project, West Seti Hydropower Project and other local problems.

Lawmaker from Kanchanpur-1, Jagat Singh Dhami, put forth the issues related to border management, customs issues, problems of reservation victims, postal road, purchase and sale of paddy for farmers and river erosion at Dodhara-Chandani area. Present on the occasion were lawmakers Tara Prasad Joshi, Khemraj Koirala, Hari Mohan Bhandari, Janak Singh Dhami, Komal Gyawali, Gyanendra Mahata, Jagat Joshi and KP Khanal, among others.
