Kathmandu. The Government of Nepal has appointed Dr KC as the Chairman of the Nepal Pharmacy Council. Qadir Alam has been appointed.

Newly appointed President Alam administered the oath of office and secrecy to Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta on Wednesday.

Alam was appointed to the post after the selection process among the candidates who had applied for the post of the council chairman.

After taking the oath of office and secrecy, Minister Mehta directed the Nepal Pharmacy Council to play active role in drug service, pharmacy education, professional regulation and public confidence enhancement by making it more effective, transparent and accountable.
