Kathmandu. Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta and Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Chiribabu Maharjan held a meeting at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar on Friday. Discussions were held on the entire health sector of the metropolis including the disabled-friendly bridge to be constructed in front of the mental hospital, Lagankhel.

In a meeting held at the Ministry of Health and Food Hygiene on Friday, the issues related to bridge construction and expansion of overall health services were discussed. On the occasion, discussions were held on the need for health equipment, infrastructure development and coordination and collaboration between the federal and local levels for improving the services of the government hospitals in Lalitpur Metropolitan City. Minister Mehta said that the government has prioritized the improvement and expansion of health facilities.

On the occasion, Mayor Maharjan pledged to provide necessary support and coordination in improving the services of health institutions and infrastructure development.
