According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Lumbini provinces and at Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces at present.

The weather is partly cloudy in Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Sudurpaschim provinces. Light to moderate rainfall is taking place at some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

According to the Division, the weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country towards the afternoon today. Light rain will occur in some places while light snowfall is predicted in high hilly and mountainous area. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the Tarai region of Koshi, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and at a few places of the Tarai region of Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at many places of the hilly region, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There are chances of moderate rain at some places of the Tarai region of Madhes and Koshi provinces. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places of the hilly region of Karnali Province, and at a few places of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Division has urged the residents of these areas to adopt the necessary precaution as the risk of mudslide, flood, landslide and soil erosion will increase due to heavy rainfall. Daily life, agriculture, health service, tourism, mountaineering and road and air transport services could be affected, so they have been urged to stay alert.
