Kathmandu. The Survey Office, Dhanusha, has distributed land ownership certificates to 57 families of Sabaila Municipality Ward No. 11 of Dhanusha district. The survey of the land in the village block (Swawasi) under the then Makhnaha Village Development Committee Ward 6, 7, 8 and 9 was completed in the fiscal year 2072/73 BS.

The process of distributing land certificates was halted for a long time due to lack of public participation required for land registration. A total of 57 land ownership certificates were distributed to the land that had been mapped by the commission in the past.

With the receipt of the land certificates, 57 families who have been living as indigenous people for a long time have formally acquired legal ownership of their land.
