Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RPP) President Rabi Lamichhane has claimed that there would be no political interference in the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).
Speaking at a meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee here today, he suggested the Commission’s office-bearers to create history by working without any prejudice.
President Lamichhane also urged the government to make the investigation and prosecution related to corruption systematic and objective. “The post of civil servant and people’s representative is suspended as soon as they are brought to the door of the court, the post up to the Chief Secretary has been suspended. This has affected his personal, family and professional life and has caused serious damage to his social reputation. How can we compensate for this?” he asked, urging all to work hard in investigation and prosecution.
