Board’s directive to the scheme manager: It is mandatory to keep the details of the scheme on the website.

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has directed mutual fund managers to make public the details of their plans on a regular basis.

The Board issued the directive in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 84 (1) of the Securities Act, 2063 with the objective of making the securities transactions strong, effective and credible.

As per the directive, the merchant banker should put the approved prospectus of the scheme on its website until the maturity of the scheme.

Similarly, the details of units sold, units repurchased and units purchased through SIP and DRIP on a daily basis should also be made public on the website.

The board has also been asked to update the net asset value (NAV) maintained after the end of the transaction on its website, the number of remaining units and unit owners.
