KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 10 Bangladeshi nationals for their alleged involvement in suspicious activities in Thamel area.

Superintendent of Police at Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Sharat Kumar Thapa Chhetri, said that the police were arrested on the charge of staying illegally and carrying out suspicious activities in different hotels and guest houses in Thamel area of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26.

The arrestees have been identified as Fahima Aktar Hasan (46), Mahamud (48), Mehboob Hasan (45), Repon Mehmood (49), MD Keramott Ali Khan (30), Shahidur Rahman (30), Khalilur Rahman (50), Arifur Rahman (28), Md Maruf Mridha (42) and Mohammad Hanif Miya (64).

The police said that they were taken into custody from Hotel Dhaka Express, Hotel Di Bhedha and Hotel Al-Rahman. According to the police, all those arrested have been sent to the Immigration Department for further investigation and necessary action.
