Devotees throng the Rishishwor Mahadev Temple in Teku

Kathmandu. The Rishishwor Mahadev Temple in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-12, Teku has been thronged with women devotees since this morning.

Security personnel from Nepal Police and Kathmandu Metropolitan City have been mobilized for security as a fair is held there on the occasion of Rishi Panchami every year.TAG_OPEN_div_26

In view of the fair, the local ward has made arrangements for cleaning, painting and street lights at the temple and surrounding heritage sites.TAG_OPEN_div_24

The ward has coordinated with representatives of 50 different religious and social organizations for the convenience of the devotees who come to worship Panchami.TAG_OPEN_div_22

The health check-up camp has been organized in coordination with Nepal Red Cross Society, Nepal Scouts and KMC Health Department.TAG_OPEN_div_20

Ward chair Bal Krishna Maharjan said arrangements have been made for providing ambulance along with free health services to the devotees visiting the temple for any health problem.TAG_OPEN_div_19

According to him, the temple has been opened since early morning for the worship and volunteers have been mobilized in addition to security personnel to make the fair well-managed.TAG_OPEN_div_17

People have been urged to use alternative routes in Teku, Kuleshwor and Sanepa areas for the management of road transport due to the huge crowd at the fair.TAG_OPEN_div_15
