Kathmandu. A total of 388 families of Kshireshwornath Municipality-1 (erstwhile Ramdaiya Bhawadi VDC Ward Nos. 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8) of Dhanusha district have received land ownership certificates after nine years of completion of the survey.

The local 388 families, who have been living as Swabasti for a long time, have now formally acquired the legal ownership of their land. The Survey Office, Dhanusha, has distributed the land ownership certificates to them after completing the necessary procedures.

The measurement work of the area was completed in the year 2074 BS. However, even after the measurement was completed, the distribution of land ownership certificates could not be done for a long time due to the lack of necessary legal and administrative procedures. Continuing the process that was stalled for a long time, 388 land ownership certificates have been distributed.

With the receipt of the land ownership certificate, the ownership of the land of the families living as Swawasi has been established. After the registration of the land and the distribution of land ownership certificates, the local residents will be able to get legal and financial benefits.

After getting the land certificate, it will be easier to take a loan by keeping the land as collateral in banks and financial institutions. Similarly, it will be easier to settle the land dispute once the ownership of the land is clear.

Earlier, land ownership certificates were distributed to 3966 families of Dhanusha.
