Kathmandu. Sipradi Yatri has announced the price of the electric scooter Yatri Petoo, which is engineered and manufactured in Nepal. The company has fixed the starting price of the Pi2 at Rs 3,29,900.
Developed keeping in mind Nepal’s diverse geographical conditions and challenging roads, the company claims that PTU is not limited to urban commuting. The company has integrated its functionality, travel distance, easy charging, electronic connectivity and driver-centric technology into a single system keeping in mind the bumpy roads, winding roads, daily city traffic and long distance travel.
Customers can customize the scooter as per their needs and preference by choosing different options for battery capacity, color, comfort and contact system.
Engineered for Nepal’s roads
One of the key features of the PTOO is the mid-drive motor. Designed to provide effective performance on various roads and operating conditions, the motor will produce 315 Nm of torque at the wheel. The high-capacity controller that is actively cooled will help maintain consistent and reliable performance, especially on steep roads.
The PTU uses a high-strength steel structure, a long-travel suspension system, and 14-inch wheels. This will help maintain stability and control on various types of roads in Nepal. For safety, a combined braking system is provided with front and rear disc brakes.
Three battery options
There are three battery options available on the PTU that can be selected according to the customer’s daily travel needs and distance. 3. The company has said that the battery with a capacity of 0 kWh will provide a travel distance of up to 90 kilometers in real conditions within the city. Similarly, 3. The battery with a capacity of 7 kWh can travel up to 112 km and 5. The battery of 2 kWh can travel up to 157 km.
For drivers who need extra distance, an additional 50 km travel distance can be achieved through the additional battery pack. The battery system of the PTU has been developed keeping this scooter at the center and has also been tested according to the operating conditions of Nepal.
The battery comes with an 8-year or 80,000km warranty.
Charging in less than two and a half hours
The PT2 has a charger connected to the scooter. Due to this, there is no need to carry a separate charging device while charging at home. According to the structure of the battery, it can be charged at home in less than two and a half hours.
In case of long journeys or fast charging, Pi2 will also support fast charging technology. According to the company, fast charging can be done in about 41 minutes under the specified charging conditions. Sipradi Yatri is expanding its charging network across the country to make it easier for Pi2 users traveling outside the city.
Smart Facility with Seven Inch Screen

The PTOO comes with a seven-inch TFT screen. It also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The screen allows you to view maps and travel information.
Sensors in the scooter provide real time information such as direction, tilt and recoil of the scooter.
The scooter will continue to be connected to the passenger network through PTu’s electronic connectivity system. Through the mobile app, customers will be able to get live vehicle monitoring, real-time charging information, route planning and time to take time for maintenance. There is also the facility of keyless scooter riding through the technology to identify the nearest person.
Various features for comfortable travel
The scooter comes with multiple travel modes, smart charging modes and a re-energizing braking system in various settings to suit different road conditions.
According to the company, the system of frequent stops in city traffic and the system of maintaining a steady speed during long journeys will help in making the journey easier. The re-energized braking system helps to convert some of the kinetic energy of the scooter back into electrical energy and store it in the battery when it decreases the speed.
Priority to security
The PTU is equipped with LED headlights, rear lights to coordinate re-energized braking, and other safety features. The company says that when the speed of the scooter slows down, the rear lights will help to signal the vehicle coming from behind.
It will also provide anti-theft information and the facility to turn off the motor through the electronic connectivity system. The company says that this will provide additional security in the case of the scooter being parked.
Customer can customize
The PTU is designed to be customized according to the customer’s needs and preferences. Through the online design selection system, customers will be able to choose different options of the scooter’s color, battery capacity, comfort, and contact system.
The company said that before ordering, you can prepare your favorite structure and see the available options.
