Kathmandu. Prabhu Bank Limited has provided assistance to the families affected by floods and natural disasters under its Corporate Social Responsibility. The bank has handed over 6 two-storey bunk beds to the affected families who are taking shelter in Yellow Gumba, Kathmandu.

The bank said that it has provided bunk beds as an additional support to the immediate needs of the families who are taking shelter in the monastery due to natural calamities and floods. The bank said that the assistance was provided as part of its social responsibility after it was identified that a two-storey bed was needed for the affected families.

The bank believes that with the help of bunk beds, it will be easier for the affected families living in relief and shelter.

Earlier, Prabhu Bank had donated Rs 2,11,11,111 to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund (PMKR) with the objective of providing relief assistance to the families affected and homeless due to the devastating floods. The bank also contributed Rs 4,080,050 collected voluntarily by the bank’s directors and employees.

Similarly, the bank handed over 100 tents and 100 sleeping bags to the District Administration Office, Nuwakot to provide relief to the flood-affected families.

Prabhu Bank said it has also launched a nationwide blood donation campaign in all seven provinces of the country to provide support to those injured in the disaster.

The bank paid tribute to the domestic and foreign nationals who lost their lives due to natural disasters and wished for the speedy rescue of the incommunicado and speedy recovery of the injured. It also expressed its condolences to all the communities affected by the disaster and expressed its commitment to continue its social responsibility in relief, rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
