Kathmandu. The Chinese government has provided Rs 11 million to help the children affected by the floods.

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chang Maoming handed over a cheque of the amount to Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokhrel at a function held at the Ministry of Education and Sports today.

On the occasion, Minister Pokharel thanked China for its support during the disaster and expressed his confidence that Nepal and China would continue necessary coordination and collaboration in the days ahead.

Ambassador Zhang said the amount was provided to provide direct assistance to the children affected by the floods.
