Kathmandu. Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives has begun. In the meeting, the lawmakers are drawing the attention of the government and the House on contemporary issues.

Minister for Infrastructure Development Sunil Lamsal will present the ‘Waste Management Bill, 2083’ in the meeting. Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle is likely to table the proposal for consideration on the ‘Citizens Investment Trust (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083’ and the Payment and Settlement (First Amendment) Bill, 2083.

Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Geeta Chaudhary will present a proposal in the National Assembly seeking consideration on the Infectious Animal Diseases (Control) Bill, 2083. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the meetings of various committees scheduled for today have been postponed.

Similarly, Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Biraj Bhakta Shrestha is addressing the House of Representatives today.

Minister Shrestha is scheduled to address the meeting of the House of Representatives scheduled for 11:00 am to inform the House of Representatives meeting at 11:00 am to inform the House of Representatives about the loss of lives due to the devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on August 26, loss of lives, rescue, relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction.

According to him, Minister Shrestha has already taken time from Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal to address the meeting.
