KATHMANDU — Minister for Foreign Affairs Sishir Khanal met with his Indian counterpart Dr S Jaishankar on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York today.

During the meeting, Minister Khanal expressed gratitude to the Government and people of India for their solidarity and significant support in the aftermath of the recent devastating Bhotekoshi floods in Nepal.

According to Minister Khanal’s Secretariat, the two ministers exchanged views on various aspects of Nepal-India relations and matters of mutual interest.

They stressed on further strengthening the long-standing close and friendly relations between Nepal and India to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
