Chitwan. Vehicular movement has been banned in Chitwan and Dhading areas of the Prithvi Highway tonight. Vehicular movement has also been banned on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section at night.

Chief District Officer of Chitwan, Ganesh Aryal, said that the vehicular movement has been halted on the Prithvi Highway and Narayangadh-Muglin road section of Chitwan from 8 pm to 5 am the next day. He said that the vehicular movement has been stopped due to the incessant rain and the risk of landslides. He said that further information will be given based on the situation in the morning. He said, “Vehicles will be allowed to operate at 5 am but if there is a landslide and continuous rain at night, we will issue another notice.” ”

Similarly, Chief District Officer of Dhading, Laxmi Pandey (Gautam), issued a notice today urging the passengers and drivers to travel only after understanding the weather and road conditions, not to go to risky places and to follow the safety directives issued by the concerned authorities.
