Kathmandu. The stock market has improved on Thursday. On Thursday, the NEPSE index increased by 11.77 points to close at 2,629.81 points.

Despite the rise in market indices, the transaction volume has decreased compared to the previous day. Shares worth Rs 6.35 billion were traded on Wednesday and Rs 5.44 billion were traded on Thursday.

Out of the 13 sub-groups traded on Thursday, the indices of 12 sub-groups increased while the indices of one sub-group decreased. The index of non-life insurance sub-group decreased today.

Today, the share prices of 176 companies have increased while the share prices of 95 companies have decreased. Similarly, there has been no change in the share prices of 7 companies.

On Thursday, the investors of Nepal Lube Oil gained the most. The share price of the company increased by 12.47 percent. Similarly, the share price of Mid Solu Hydropower Company decreased the most. The share price of the company fell by 11.58 percent.

On the basis of turnover, Shivam Cement topped the list on Thursday. The company’s shares worth Rs 35,81,09,181 were traded.

Similarly, shares of Himalayan Distillery worth Rs 35.16 crore were traded.
