Finance Minister Wagle to hold separate meetings with finance ministers of India, Bangladesh, Qatar and Maldives

{{TAG_OPEN_div_13} Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle has left for Qatar to attend the 11th annual meeting of the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Development Bank (AIIB).

Leading a Nepali delegation to participate in the meeting, Minister Wagle left for Doha, the capital of Qatar, this evening. He is accompanied by the Chief of the International Economic Relations Division of the Ministry of Finance, Joint Secretary Amrit Lamsal.TAG_OPEN_div_11

During the eleventh annual meeting, the Finance Minister will participate in a session of the Board of Governors of the Bank to discuss multilateral cooperation and mobilization of investment in Nepal’s infrastructure development, climate adaptation, renewable energy, post-disaster reconstruction and economic growth priorities, according to the Minister’s Private Secretariat.TAG_OPEN_div_9

During the visit, the Finance Minister will hold separate bilateral meetings with the Finance Ministers of India, Bangladesh, Qatar and the Maldives along with the President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in the presence of the Finance Minister. The delegation led by the Finance Minister will return home on the 14th after concluding the annual meeting and scheduled bilateral dialogues.TAG_OPEN_div_7
