Heavy vehicular traffic banned on Narayani bridge due to high water level

Nawalpur. Heavy vehicles have been banned on the bridge due to the high water level in the Narayani River. Police have banned the operation of heavy vehicles on the Narayani Bridge on the East-West Highway connecting Chitwan and Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) due to the rise in the water level in the river.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Anil Pandit of District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) said that only motorcycles were completely banned on the bridge for some time this afternoon. He said that the vehicles have been completely stopped after the bridge was old and shaking excessively.TAG_OPEN_div_14
Pandit said that pedestrians have been stopped from taking pictures and audio-visual material by stopping on the bridge in order to reduce the possible risk. According to him, vehicles except motorcycles going to Chitwan from Nawalpur have been stopped at Gaindakot and vehicles coming to Nawalpur have been stopped at Narayanghat of Chitwan.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Pandit said that vehicles will be allowed to operate fully after the water level in the river recedes. According to the water measurement center at Devghat, the water level in the Narayani river reached 11.91 meters at 1:50 pm. The water level in the river is increasing, according to the center. The water level of 7.3 meters at the center is considered the warning level and nine meters is considered the danger level.TAG_OPEN_div_10
