Pokhara. Sheep and mountain goats have arrived in Pokhara from the mountainous district of Dolpa as the Dashain festival is approaching. Buddhiram Bohara, a trader, said that sheep and mountain goats have been brought to Pokhara from Jagdulla Rural Municipality targeting Bada Dashain.
He said that he arrived in Pokhara on Saturday after 23 days of carrying sheep and mountain goats. He said that the sheep and mountain goats brought here have been kept for sale since Sunday morning in Jaubari, Yamdi area of Pokhara Metropolitan City-1.TAG_OPEN_div_22
Bohara, a businessman, said that three businessmen brought 200 sheep and mountain goats to Pokhara. “This time, three of us have bought sheep and mountain goats from different places of Jagdulla Rural Municipality of Dolpa,” he said, adding, “We have fixed the price of sheep and mountain goats at Rs 21,000 to Rs 43,000.”TAG_OPEN_div_20 ”
He informed that 20 sheep and mountain goats have already been sold on the way to the market. Another trader, Min Prasad Bohara, said that the sheep and mountain goats were brought to Pokhara for sale before the Dashain festival as they would be sold sooner if they were brought soon.TAG_OPEN_div_18
“Last year, we brought it late, but there was no place to sell. And the sale was delayed. We could not celebrate Dashain,” he said, “If the experience of last year brought it early, this time we plan to sell early and go home early to celebrate Dashain.” ”
