Stock market declines in 242 companies

Kathmandu. The stock market has turned red. The index measuring the market has turned red by double digits.

On the first trading day of the week, the index fell 20.28 points to 2,566.76 points.

Shares of 9,03,388 shares of 359 companies were traded at Rs 3,27,95,09,000. The share prices of 242 companies decreased while the prices of only 32 companies increased.

Except for trading, the sub-indices of all the groups have turned red. Ghalemdi Hydropower Company is in the first position in terms of transaction volume today. The company’s turnover was Rs 22.86 crore.

Similarly, shares of Shivam Cement Company and Hathway Investment were traded at Rs 8.49 crore.
