Finance Minister Wagle urges Asian Development Bank (ADB) to help Nepal in climate-resilient reconstruction

Kathmandu TAG_OPEN_div_16: Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle has urged the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to help Nepal in climate-resilient reconstruction and recovery after natural disasters.

Finance Minister Dr Wagle and Asian Development Bank President Masato Kanda held a meeting in Bangkok on Friday to attend the ongoing annual meeting of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) at the Capital Bank of Thailand.TAG_OPEN_div_14

On the occasion, Finance Minister Wagle urged the World Bank’s President Masato Kanda to mobilize resources for post-disaster recovery, climate-resilient reconstruction and advancing Nepal’s long-term economic priorities.TAG_OPEN_div_12

During the meeting, Minister Wagle expressed gratitude to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for early approval and solidarity for the emergency grant to support the post-flood rescue.TAG_OPEN_div_10

On the occasion, Chairman Kanda said that cooperation for the development of Nepal was his top priority. Finance Secretary Dr Ghanashyam Upadhyay and Joint Secretary Amrit Lamsal were also present in the meeting.
