33,000 tourists visited Annapurna region in one month

Dr. TAG_OPEN_div_22 Rabin Kadariya, chief of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project, said that 2,416 more tourists have visited this year as compared to the same period last year. Last year, 30,547 tourists visited this area.

The highest number of tourists visited in the current fiscal year. In August, 17,913 tourists visited the country and 26,591 in July. According to Dr. Kadariya, the tourist arrival increases during this time as September and October are the main tourist seasons.TAG_OPEN_div_20

} The project office keeps a record of only foreign tourists visiting the Annapurna Circuit Trekking Route. A large number of domestic tourists enter the Annapurna region every year through the road. Since the autumn season is considered ideal for trekking, this area is the choice of tourists who like trekking.

This season, the number of domestic and foreign tourists increases in Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Himal, Ghandruk, Tilicho Lake of Manang, Thorangla Bhanjyang, Upper Mustang, Ghodepani of Myagdi and other destinations along the Annapurna Circuit.TAG_OPEN_div_16

According to Dr. Kadariya, the head of the project, there are more trekkers between Dashain and Tihar. The Annapurna Conservation Area, spread over 7,600 square kilometers, is considered an attractive destination for trekking. Short, medium and long distance trekking routes in the Annapurna region can be covered from Kaski, Lamjung, Manang, Myagdi and other public routes. The Annapurna Conservation Area covers 87 wards of 15 local levels in Kaski, Lamjung, Manang, Myagdi and Mustang.
