.  The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered the reinstatement of Hitendra Dev as the Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).TAG_OPEN_span_22

Supreme Court Justice Dr. A division bench of Justices Nahakul Subedi and Shreekanta Poudel said, “A mandamus order is issued in the name of the defendants to allow the writ petitioner (Hitendra Dev Shakya) to carry out his duties as the Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) by nullifying the proceedings and correspondence made on the basis of the decision dated September 21, 2082 Waits. ”

Shakya had filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court against Kulman Ghising, former managing director of NEA, who was appointed as the Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation after the Genji agitation, transferred Shakya to the Water and Energy Commission.

On his proposal, Shakya was transferred to the commission and the cabinet had appointed Manoj Silwal, who is close to Ghising, as the chief of the NRA.
