Kathmandu. The stock market rose marginally on Tuesday. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 3.27 points to close at 2,584.49 points. The Sensitive Float Index increased by 1.57 points, while the Float Index increased by 0.12 points and the Sensitive Float Index increased by 0.31 points.

Although the stock market has risen, the trading volume has decreased. Shares worth Rs 3.51 billion were traded on the previous trading day and 76.68 lakh units worth Rs 3.42 billion were traded today.

Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of seven sub-groups have increased while the indices of other six sub-groups have decreased. The index of other sub-groups increased the most by 1.28 percent today. The growth rate of the remaining 6 sub-groups is moderate. On this day, the indices of development banks, investments, life insurance, mutual funds, non-life insurance and business sub-groups decreased.

On this day, the share price of SY Panel Nepal increased by 7.01 percent. Shares of Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd surged by 6 percent while Sayapatri Hydropower Ltd and Rural Development Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd surged by 6 percent each. The share price of Citizen Life Insurance Company fell by 5.97 percent on the day.

On the basis of transaction amount, SY Panel Nepal topped the list on the day. Shares worth Rs 30.98 crore were traded on the day.
