Kathmandu. The stock market closed higher on Thursday, the last trading day of the week. On Thursday, the NEPSE index increased by 6.03 points to close at 2,654.93 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Float Index has increased by 1.93 points, while the Float Index has increased by 0.48 points and the Sensitive Float Index has increased by 0.62 points.
Although the stock market rose on Thursday, the amount of share trading decreased on this day. A total of 153,000 units of shares worth Rs 4.17 billion were traded on the market today, compared to Rs 4.45 billion on the previous trading day.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 9 sub-groups have fallen. However, the index of the remaining 4 sub-groups decreased. The non-life insurance sub-group index increased by 1.09 percent today.
Shares of Salpa Development Bank Ltd were traded at a positive circuit level today. Similarly, the share price of Reliance Spinning Mills has increased by more than 9 percent today.
On the basis of turnover, Api Power Company is in the top position on this day. Today, the company’s shares worth Rs 32.68 crore have been traded. Similarly, shares worth Rs 210 million were traded in Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company today.
