Deputy Superintendent of Traffic Police Sunil Jung Shah said more than 750,000 people have left Kathmandu Valley so far. “The trend of people leaving the Kathmandu Valley for the elections will continue till Wednesday,” he said, adding that the movement of public vehicles has been packed and the movement of private vehicles has also increased significantly. ”

Long queues of vehicles have been seen on the main highways, bus parks and exiting the Kathmandu Valley with the increase in the number of passengers. According to Shah, the human resources of traffic police have been increased to make the transportation system more safe and systematic.

“Additional traffic police personnel have been mobilized in the areas where there is more traffic pressure and vigilance has been stepped up in coordination with the nearest police units for the management of vehicular traffic,” said Deputy Superintendent of Traffic Police Shah. ”

According to the police, patrolling has been intensified on the highways keeping the safety of passengers in mind and special surveillance has been maintained in the areas where needed. Traffic police have urged the public to travel safely and in moderation, not to overboard passengers and to follow traffic rules. Similarly, it is advised to check the condition of the vehicles and take information about the condition of the road while traveling on long routes.
