Kathmandu. The stock market closed higher in the pre-open session on the first trading day after the House of Representatives elections. In the pre-open session of Monday, the NEPSE index increased by 44.63 points to close at 2,757.12 points. The sensitive index rose 7.97 points in the session.

In the pre-open session on Monday, 1,11,202 units of shares worth Rs 5,45,11,562.50 were traded in 721 trades. The price of 191 companies has increased while the price of 3 companies has decreased. The remaining 5 company prices remained stable in the session.
