Kathmandu. The stock market, which was buoyant on Monday on the first trading day after the election, fell on Tuesday. On Tuesday, the NEPSE index decreased by 32.08 points to close at 2,843 points. In today’s pre-open session, the stock market, which had crossed 2900 points, continued to fluctuate and closed down till the end.
Although the stock market fell on Tuesday, the turnover was encouraging. Shares worth Rs 21.50 billion were traded on Tuesday. It had reached Rs 25.95 billion on July 24. Shares worth Rs 18 billion were traded on July 25. Today is the highest turnover since that day.
