Bhaktapur. Bagmati Province Health Minister Kiran Thapa Magar laid the foundation stone for the construction of Palase-Tarakeshwor road section in Bhaktapur on Tuesday.
Speaking at a programme organised at Palase of Surya Binayak municipality-8, he shared that the upgradation of the road has also begun along with the foundation stone laying ceremony.
The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development has allocated Rs 300 million for the construction and up-gradation of the road. Minister Thapa said that the road will connect Surya Binayak Ring Road via ward no 8 and 9 of Surya Binayak municipality.
He said the construction of the road section from Palase via Kakrabari, Ashapuri, Naichal, tourist sites Ranikot, Ghyampedanda and Tarekwar has been started from today itself.
On the occasion, Pushpa Raj Basnet, ward chairman of Surya Binayak Ward No. 8, expressed the confidence that the construction of the road would make it easier to travel to the Shiva circuit which connects Shiva temples in Surya Binayak Municipality. According to him, the construction of the road would help in easy marketing of the products of the rural areas as well as to further expand and develop the tourism business that is flourishing in this area.
