Bagmati. The Bagmati Province government has made 17.12 percent capital expenditure in the eight months of the current fiscal year 2082/83.
According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, the province has spent 22.31 per cent of the total budget for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS.
According to Suraj Poudel, an officer at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, the province has spent 30.56 per cent of the recurrent budget and 17.12 per cent of the capital expenditure.
He said that the province government had presented a budget of Rs 67.47 billion for the current fiscal year 2082/83 and spent Rs 15.05 billion in the first eight months of the current fiscal year.
Of the allocated budget, the State Public Service Commission (43.85 per cent), the Office of the Chief Attorney (37.10 per cent), the Provincial Assembly Secretariat (37.29 per cent), the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Transport (38.54 per cent), the Ministry of Health (37.10 per cent), the Ministry of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation (34.53 per cent) have been spent.
According to Poudel, the expenditure of the province government has been low due to the damage to the structures of the state government due to the Jenji agitation on September 7 and 24, the state government agencies have not been able to function properly and the budget has not been implemented.
