Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) is to conduct first aid training in all 932 wards.
The main objective of the training is to prevent the situation from worsening before the patient is taken to the hospital in the event of a health emergency such as accident, injury, sudden illness.
The agreement was signed between Chief of Health Department Deep Kumar KC and President of Red Cross Society Kathmandu Chapter Shyam Kaji Dotel in the presence of Acting Chief Sunita Dangol and Chief Administrative Officer Saroj Guragain.
“This is very important to save the lives of people in emergencies. Therefore, we are going to run the program by giving priority. After the agreement, acting chief Dangol said, “The training will be conducted on the basis of indicators such as geographical situation of the ward and readiness of the trainees.” Additional plans will be developed based on the need to make the training sustainable. ’
As per the agreement, a group of 25 will be trained in each ward. A preparatory meeting will be held with the ward office and health promotion center for the preparation of the training. Each ward will spend Rs 163,850 to conduct the training. The Society will complete the training in all wards by June 26.
