Kathmandu. The stock market is in the green. The index increased by 33.27 points to sit at 2866.87 points.

A total of 2,64,38,521 units of shares of 344 companies were traded at Rs 10.53 billion on the first trading day of the new year.

All the sub-indices of all the groups have turned green.

The prices of 221 companies increased while the prices of 45 companies decreased. The prices of half a dozen companies have hit a positive circuit in the trade.
