Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah held a three-hour-long conversation with the Chief Ministers of the provinces at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today.
The discussion was organized with the objective of resolving the complexities of the implementation of federalism, it was not limited to the meeting, but it became a forum to find a lively and common solution. The ‘protocol’ and formalities that are usually seen in political meetings were nowhere to be seen in this meeting.
The ‘interactive’ style adopted by Prime Minister Shah not only surprised the Chief Ministers but also filled them with a new enthusiasm.
During the discussions, while the Chief Ministers were putting forth their problems, Prime Minister Shah would immediately ask questions in the middle of any issue and clarify and start a debate on the alternatives of solution.
The Chief Ministers also welcomed this ‘action-oriented’ style of Prime Minister Shah with equal open hearts and shared their experiences and difficulties without hesitation. They competed to convey their problems to Prime Minister Shah. The discussion became very meaningful and result-oriented due to the inquiries generated from both sides and prompt responses.
Prime Minister Shah not only took note of the problems of the Chief Ministers but also suggested ways to resolve some technical and practical problems immediately.
“The government under my leadership is always ready to resolve every problem between the federal and provincial governments,” he said, pledging to start works immediately through a common mechanism of federal and province governments to untie the policy knots. That is why you have invited you to the capital for discussion. ”
The Prime Minister also urged the province to carry out reforms that could be carried out on its own without any delay. He also made it clear that there would be no discrimination while allocating the budget.
