Kathmandu. The Ministry of Finance has said that revenue mobilization has slowed down in recent years. The Ministry made the announcement while releasing the current economic status of Nepal today.
According to the Ministry, the average annual growth rate of revenue in the first five fiscal years was 14.9 percent.
In the next five years, the growth rate has come down to 8.7 percent. In the fiscal year 2020/20, the ratio of federal revenue collection to GDP was 21.5 percent.
In the fiscal year 2081/82, it was limited to 19.3 percent. In the last 10 years, revenue mobilization has increased by an average of 12.3 percent annually. As of March 26 of the current fiscal year, revenue mobilization increased by 4.4 percent to Rs 780 billion compared to the same period last year.
