Kathmandu. The government is preparing to classify public enterprises. In its policy and programmes for the coming fiscal year, the government has proposed to classify public enterprises with the objective of making them systematic, effective and competitive.

The policy and programmes presented by President Ram Chandra Poudel in the joint session of the Federal Parliament have mentioned that public enterprises would be classified on the basis of their condition, capacity and necessity.

The policies and programs have included the policy of expanding collaboration with the private sector in public enterprises, enhancing the capacity of the corporations and merger as per the need.
