EVs worth Rs 20.32 billion imported in 10 months, how much revenue did the government collect?

. Electric vehicles worth Rs 20.32 billion were imported till mid-April of the current fiscal year. According to the Department of Customs, 8,607 EVs have entered the country from different countries till mid-April of the current fiscal year.

In the first 10 months of the current fiscal year, the government has earned revenue of Rs 12.43 billion from the import of EVs.TAG_OPEN_div_16 According to the Department of Customs, two EVs with 50 KW unassembled vehicles have arrived till April of the current fiscal year.

Similarly, 2,848 vehicles with 50 kW, 5,025 vehicles with 51 to 100 kW, 723 EVs from 101 to 200 kW and 9 EVs with capacity of 201 to 300 kW have been introduced.TAG_OPEN_div_14

51 to 100 kW EVs are the most frequent entrants so far. Similarly, three-wheeler EVs are also found to be indoors at a high rate. According to the data, 7,785 three-wheeler EVs worth Rs 894.53 crore have been imported till April alone.

Unassembled 9,011 three-wheelers worth Rs 936.66 million 14,000 have arrived.
