Kathmandu. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is estimated to be Rs 66.09 trillion in the current fiscal year.
Presenting the Economic Survey for the fiscal year 2082/83 in both houses of the Federal Parliament today, Finance Minister Dr. Yubaraj Khatiwada said that the Economic Survey for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS will be tabled. Swarnim Wagle said this.
Bagmati Province is estimated to contribute the highest amount to GDP at 36.7 percent and Karnali Province the lowest at 4.2 percent.
The contribution of agriculture and non-agriculture sector to the GDP structure is estimated to be 24 percent and 76 percent, respectively. In the last decade, the contribution of agriculture has decreased and the contribution of the service sector has increased.
The contribution of primary, secondary and service sectors to the GDP is estimated to be 24.46 per cent, 13.73 per cent and 61.81 per cent respectively.
The share of consumption in Nepal’s economy is high. The share of consumption in the GDP is estimated to be 90.3 percent in the current fiscal year. The share of private sector, government sector and non-government sector in total consumption is estimated to be 91.26 percent, 6.62 percent and 2.12 percent respectively.
