Kathmandu. The government has increased the casino royalty fee. Through the budget for the coming fiscal year, the government has increased the fees of individuals or organizations licensed to operate casinos.
According to the Finance Act, 2083, a person or organization licensed to operate casinos in Nepal has to pay Rs 55 million annually for operating a casino and Rs 30 million annually for games played only through modern machines or equipment. Earlier, it was Rs 1.5 crore.
