Revenue collected Rs 1.75 million in a single day

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,300 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. This amounts to Rs 2 million 84 thousand in revenue deposited in the state exchequer.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action was taken against 104 people for drunken consumption, 177 for ride-sharing, 147 for breaching signal lights and 105 for speeding.TAG_OPEN_div_6

Similarly, 56 for flouting lane discipline, 152 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 113 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 141 for driving one-way traffic and 1,305 for not following other traffic rules were taken.TAG_OPEN_div_4
