Kathmandu. Cases have been filed against 42 persons including two former chairpersons of the Insurance Authority and industrialists.
The District Attorney’s Office, Kathmandu filed a chargesheet against 42 persons including two former chairpersons of the NRA on the basis of the protracted investigation report of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police.
The anti-graft body has been named Shekhar Golchha, Ashish Shrestha, Subhash Bahadur Shrestha, Deepak Bhatta, Shulabh Agrawal, Upasana Poudel, Mrigendra Nath Rimal, Siddhanta Jhunjhunwala, Latika Golyan, Sunita Shrestha, Anup Malakar, Badri Sigdel, Prabina Dahal, Sujal Malla, Amit Mor, Shahil Agrawal, Rohit Gupta, Rajiv Mor, Subekshya Kharel and Subhash Kumar Jhunjhunwala.
The other defendants who have been implicated in the case are Manish Kumar, Deepak Kumar Shrestha, Sitaram Wagle, Akanksha Gupta, Shishir Gaire, Ritesh Pradhan, Kapil Kumar Dahal, Rajan Prasad Adhikari, Bidur Puri, Binu Ghimire, Narayan Kumar Adhikari, Utsav Pradhananga, Sumer Shumsher Rana, Subhash Poudel, Shalini Sanghai and Pratik Joshi. Sandeep Chachan Agrawal, Shubhi Agrawal, Rishiraj Mor and Raj Bahadur Shah have been found guilty of the offence as per Section 140 (1) (g) of the Insurance Act, 2079.
Sharad Ojha and Madan Dahal, the then chairmen of Nepal Insurance Authority, have been named as defendants in the case.
